The Heart and Soul Behind The Master's Team

Founded by Rose O'Dell, The Masters Team grew out of a love for real estate and a true need for better training and treatment in the industry. “I often hear agents remark that they feel like ‘just a number’ at the brokerages they work with,” says Rose.

After training with the top real estates coaching companies like Mike Ferry, Tom Ferry, Brian Buffini, Rose decided to do something to help make an impact in the real estate industry. The Masters Team was created. A new model designed to incorporate weekly training on how to be successful in the real estate industry while building a business. It is in a sense a brokerage within a brokerage, without the high team fees that most members have to pay to be part of the team system.

A Hands-On Approach

Rose O'Dell was leading a direct marketing company for a number of years prior to becoming a licensed Realtor®. She grew up in a family with a contractor as her father. He had several investment properties and taught her about making money work rather than working for money. After watching her success in direct sales, her father suggested that she get licensed as a Realtor®. Without question, the next day she enrolled in the classes and began her journey in real estate.

When Rose began her real estate career, she too was shocked at how little training was available for new agents. Moreover, she soon realized that the training that was available was geared toward the agents who need a lot of hand-holding and daily direction. Rose wanted to build a business from the beginning but didn't have all the information on how to do that. “Within my first few months in the industry, the best move that I made was to hire a professional real estate trainer," says Rose, “when I became a realtor and participated in “new agent training,” I was shocked at the apparent indifference to the consumer experience in a real estate transaction. Coaching helped me have the 5000 ft view.”

A Passionate Mission

Through her personal and professional experiences, Rose has developed a strong passion for leadership and personal development. She combined her skills and background to create a new kind of team, one designed to make a lasting difference for agents who want to make this industry into an abundant career.

Real estate is a career that demands the highest levels of expertise and professionalism, and that’s what Rose seeks to deliver. All clients have different personalities, varying needs and interests, and widely different expectations, creating a complex web for realtors to navigate. To Rose, the key to a great client experience is a professional that knows the ins and outs of real estate and, most importantly, takes the time to really understand and listen to client needs.

Training to Succeed

In an industry where nearly 85% of new agents fail within their first five years, over 98% of new agents who begin their careers in Rose O'Dell's New Agent Training program continue with in real estate. In fact, while the average new agent only closes three transactions in their first year, new agents with The Masters Team close an average of 17 deals. Despite the norms, Rose has shown that what seemed impossible is truly within reach.

Today, Rose focuses her efforts on The Masters Team New Agent Training Program, providing high-quality leads and transaction support to new agents. Through her tutelage, new agents get to spend much of their time learning to provide extraordinary service to consumers. Rose spends 10 hours a week training with new and experienced agents. New agents each have a training coach working on their own personal business plans, online presence, as well as building the framework for future business growth.
